Laurel Bowen, Assistant Editor for Contemporary Doll Collector magazine
asked me to created an angel pattern for their January 2007 issue. Only six
inches when seated this graceful little angel was designed to be a simple
but elegant pattern. She is dressed in satin silk, rayon lace, sports fancy
fiber hair incorporating copper strands that twinkle and she has a detailed
beaded collar (thanks to my personal beading tutor Ms Speedie Beadie
herself, Dot Lewallen.) The angel will be revised, enlarged and made into a
more advanced doll pattern which will include wing techniques. She will also
get a real name! |
