You can tell by
Edelwyns face that he has seen many years in his time. His magic skills are not
as well known these days as he was distraught by the number of folks begging for
his help. He couldn’t help everyone and actually got quite bent out of shape
about it. He retreated to a quiet cave nearby and we met when one day he
wandered into my garden trying to catch his owl, Herqumois. We met often for tea
and chatted in the garden by the pond. He enjoyed the peacefulness of the
waterfall and yet
seemed to truly be a people person. He shared his past… well… only some of his
past, I am sure, and was pleased that I did not demand magical services. He
posed in his robe for me only once and pretended to not appreciate my dolls,
however he was quite taken by the actual likeness. I would have given him the
doll, as he was so taken, but he pointed out that when Herqumois was upset with
him she just might destroy the doll. Evidently she destroys all his favorite
things when he fails to pay her attention.
Ed still visits from time to time and we chat in the garden with our tea. I’ve
even gotten Herqumois to visit on occasion and learned she loves lemon verbena
biscuits. I still have to keep the kittens away from her--- they don’t know what
“predator” means yet
Edelwyn is a Wee Whimsie and is
available as a workshop.
