CLOTH MARROTTE |
 |
|
 |
|
O nce upon a time Court
Jesters were employed by kings all over the world. Tradition was that he who
held the Jester Scepter, or Marrotte to the French, was to entertain the
royal family and their guests in any way possible, such as music, story
telling, juggling, riddles and ways we can only imagine. In this way, the
Jester distracted those he entertained from the worries and concerns at
hand, and became as cherished as any family member. Use your Jester Scepter
to entertain by passing it guest to guest to continue a story. If one cannot
continue as story teller he must entertain in another fashion.
May all worries and concerns vanish as you hold your
Jester Scepter. |

This head on a stick is available as a workshop that will help students
learn just stuffing is not enough! Needle sculpted features, enhanced
by color, highlights and shading will create the character of your choice
from several different head options. Embellishing the head with hair, hats
or head wraps and imagination will complete each one of a kind
Marrotte. This class will require intermediate sewing machine skills as well
as hand sewing and is suitable for all doll makers. With pre-sewing this
workshop may be completed in one day.
